Rich Rebuild’s Electrified Garage Demonstrates Why EVs Need NRS Galvanized Brake Pads

YouTube DIY star Rich Benoit (Rich Rebuilds) and his Electrified Garage have posted a new video demonstrating the problems EV owners can expect from both factory and aftermarket brake pads and how to eliminate those issues using NRS Brakes’ new NRS-EV brake pads for hybrids and electrics.

In the video Rich and his team show what happens when EV brake pads rust and corrode in the caliper, which can lead to unsafe braking or complete brake failure. They also outline the many advantages of NRS pads, including better performance over the life of the brake pad, greater durability, environmental benefits and more.

NRS Brakes was the first manufacturer to recognize that EVs and hybrids needed a different kind of brake pad. Because of regenerative braking, the friction materials on the brake are engaged less often, dissipating less moisture and other build-ups that can lead to premature rust and corrosion – particularly in harsh environments.

NRS Brakes’ NRS-EV Galvanized Brake Pads feature fully galvanized backing plates and NRSTM mechanical attachment – without mechanical attachment, brakes will fail to operate as necessary. This technology ensures the pad will never rust, corrode or separate, meaning long-lasting life and durability over the full life of the pad.

NRS Brakes’ NRS-EV Galvanized Brake Pads are part of over 60 new SKUs released for 2020 makes and models. Stay tuned for more exciting releases and additions to NRS’ standard and EV lines.
