NRS Brake’s Research and Development centre is fully equipped to perform corrosion, shear, noise, performance and durability tests of brake pads and other automotive parts. We have the necessary accreditations, trained personnel and equipment to perform these tests.

Stress Testing
Link Dynamometers and Shear Tester to evaluate the effectiveness of the friction materials and structural integrity of brake pad assemblies with regard to pressure, temperature, and speed to SAE standards.
MAGNIFICATION IMAGERY
3D scanning to accelerate reverse engineering of brake caliper components facilitating the creation of a complete 3D solid of the brake caliper assembly. This data to ensure proper fit, form and function of brake pads, shims, and caliper hardware.
SIDE LOAD TESTING
Evaluate the negative impact of corrosion on pad drag within the brake caliper assembly and the importance of corrosion resistance. Advanced corrosion => Excessive Drag, Binding.
VEHICLE SPECIFIC TESTING
Link Mobile Data Acquisition (DAQ) system aids in the real world validation of dynamometer test results.
